The Charge Nurse Is Responsible For The Delivery Of Resident Care Through The Use Of The Nursing Process. They Are Responsible For Directing And Guiding The Activities Of Ancillary Personnel On The Unit, While Maintaining Standards Of Professional Nursing In Order To Provide Optimal Resident Outcome. Charge Nurses Are Actively Involved In Resident Education, Continuing Care, And Discharge Planning Needs Of The Residents On The Unit. Education/Experience Graduate From An Accredited School Of Nursing. Previous Clinical Experience In Acute Care Or Long-Term Care Is Desirable.
