Is responsible for effectively managing the financial, service, and quality goals of critical care, progressive care, emergency and telemetry nursing services Establishes annual goals for areas or responsibility that support the strategic plan Identifies business opportunities for providing new services or enhancing existing services Coordinates with the clinical managers to develop and manage the capital and operating budgets for areas of responsibility Works closely with the Vice Chief Clinical Operations to develop an effective recruitment and retention plan to ensure the staffing requirements are managed effectively Collaborates with physicians, clinical managers, and other members of the health care team to promote optimum patient care Understands and supports the professional practice of nursing QUALIFICATIONS Current and valid California RN license Masters in Nursing or related field required Three to five years of progressive management experience required and experience must include management of acute care inpatient units Clinical practice background in critical care or emergency nursing required.
