The Administrative Director of Cardiovascular Services, in collaboration with the Medical Director of Interventional Cardiology, Medical Director of Cardiac Anesthia and representatives from Duke University's Health System's Heart Center, plans, organizes and manages the Cardiovascular Program. Also, manages the operations for the following departments: EKG, EEG, Cardiac Catheterization Lab, Echo, Stress, Vascular Lab, Cardiac Rehabilitation, Non Invasive Cardiac Services, Prepares and administers operational and capital budget. Prepares annual operational and long-range plans relative to organizational goals, capital equipment, human resources and business opportunities in conjunction with Duke University Health System. Administers hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Maintains all clinical operations to meet the expectations of regulatory agencies. Must have physician practice management experience in a matrix/service line organization. Will be responsible for strategic planning and execution as well as marketing and promoting the program's services in the community. Needs to be a skilled communicator with excellent presentation skills. Responsible for facilitating and maintaining excellent physician relations. Will have oversight responsibility of the Joint Venture Cath Lab. The position reports to the Chief Operating Officer. Educational and Experience Bachelors degree in Health Care Management or Business; Masters degree is required. A minimum of 5-10 years of management experience with at least 3 in a leadership role is required. Experience starting up and/or managing a successful heart program strongly preferred.
