The Emergency Medical Technician is responsible for providing direct patient care to patients of all ages within the scope of their training and expertise. The care given by the Emergency Medical Technician should be in accordance with the plan of care established by the RN. The Emergency Medical Technician is also responsible for carrying out any other duties deemed necessary to ensure optimal patient care and physician service under the direction and supervision of the professional nurse.
