Accurately and efficiently performs cytopreparatory tasks. Perfoms complex computer duties using a variety of computer programs. Complies, and assists with establishing with all quality assurance, regulatory and safety policies and procedures. Handles the purchasing, requisition and inventory of section supplies and equipment. Provides technical assistance on fine needle aspiration procedures. Trains and coordinates the efforts of Cytology Laboratory Assistants. Assists with the development, validation, and performance of molecular and ancillary testing. Communicates with clinicians, health care providers, patients, visitors, and laboratory staff. Participates in community outreach activities. Works under the direction of the Cytopathology Assistant.
