The purpose of this position is to provide quality pre-hospital care to the sick and injured and promote education of Emergency Medical Services Systems and the ambulance service to the public.Must have an active Maine EMT-P license and be 18 years or older. Must be able to communicate verbally with other personnel via the radio or telephone and have the ability to interpret written and oral protocols. Must have the ability to use good judgment and remain calm in high stress situations and be able to read and write the English language. Must have the ability to document, in writing, all relevant information in a prescribed format on the standard MEMS Run Form. Previous experience preferred. Must have BLS and ACLS certification as well as a current Maine driver's license. Driving record must be acceptable to C.A. Dean insurance carriers. Performs as ambulance crew chief when on duty. Must have the ability to work with and coordinate people.
