Provides direct and indirect patient care in the emergency department through the application of the nursing process, which includes assessment, planning, implementing and evaluating care rendered. Care provided will address physical, psychosocial, rehabilitative, and discharge needs of the patient and his/her family. Guides and supervises assigned nursing personnel, collaborates with other health care professionals and coordinates ancillary staff. Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing. Clinical nursing experience within the past 5 years preferred. One (1) year emergency department experience preferred. Licensure: Current Tennessee RN, APN, or APN-Pres license or Compact State License required. BLS Healthcare Provider required. ACLS, PALS required. Completion of critical care course within first year of hire required. TNCC preferred.
