Performs therapeutic nursing interventions consistent with the Rehabilitation Unit including but not limited to: Skin/fall risk assessments, bowel and bladder training, swallowing assessments, pin care, tube feedings, wound management, positioning and management of mobility utilizing assistive devices. The Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for meeting patients' priority needs by assessing, participating in interdisciplinary care planning, providing and/or delegating care and evaluating patients' responses and progress toward clinical outcomes. The RN contributes to an efficient and effective work environment through activities including professional communication and documentation, preceptoring and/or resourcing of others. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and current RN licensure from state of NE or approved compact state required.
